Preparation is key when you are invited to audition for a commercial. For children, the best way to prepare them is to tell them what to expect in advance so they are not scared when they get there.

As for clothing, majority of the time they will tell you what to wear, for example, dress casual, dressy, formal, etc. If they do not specify, always wear something with no logos, stripes or bold patterns.
